Yoo Hoo! I'm here! :)

Surprise! I'm here once again! :)

I'm off from work today and Thursday so I decided to update you guys with what I have been up to! :)

I have worked total of 4 days- 12 hours shift each.. I will be working this weekend so I won't be spending time with family this weekend BUT I get Monday and Tuesday off :)

I am liking this job alright, I can't say this job is FOR ME but it's alright.. I think the time frame of it being 7 am to 7 pm really takes a toll on our scheduling with kids etc. Noone to watch Ryan get on the bus so we have to pray and hope our neighbor would be willing to watch Ryan get on the bus with her son and unfortunately she didn't do that yesterday. So it helps when I'm off today and tomorrow so I get to watch him get on the bus. Then the another issue is in the afternoons, we have to depend on Justin to take Ryan to Boy's club so they can hang out until Bucky gets off work at 4:30 to pick them up from Boy's Club.. I do enjoy working with two other deaf ladies and a CODA guy as it helps to make time go quickly.

I had another job interview this morning with a insurance agency and I am HOPING they will let me know by Friday if I'm hired.. I really hope so because it's in Oak Ridge, only 2 miles from my house and it has right time frame because I get to watch Ryan get on the bus to go school safely before heading to work. But we still have afternoons issue to resolve.. MMmm.. Something will be bound to happen and answer to our prayers.

If the Insurance agency job position doesn't pan out for me, I will stick with my current job because I want to be employed and having a steady income and hopefully something better will come along regarding Ryan's situation.. So I need good thoughts and prayers for my job and Ryan's situation.

By the way, we are SUPPOSED to have snow during the night toward tomorrow (Thursday) I am not looking forward that! I wanna to get my first paycheck from work so I have some time to have some moola in my wallet before bills comes for it and being stuck at work this weekend :).. I don't want to have snow because I want to go work on Friday.. Sandy is hoping for snow because she wants to enjoy snow but I don't want that :) Let's see who will have the wish come true.. :)

Stay warm and healthy! T'care and till then! M-

My husband..

Hello everyone,

I am disappointed to announce that Bucky has decided to remove his blogs on the web. So the link to his blogs are no longer on my link pages.

Why, you ask.. Someone who wants to hide behind anonymous name has decided to bash me over and over about my weight. I don't know what that person's out to do but Bucky doesn't appreciate that person posting on his comment box saying things about me. So he said he would rather to have no blog than having a blog out there..

If you want to hide behind anonymous name, then don't say a thing because that's coward's way out..

Thanks and till then, M-

On to good news! I'M ON MY FIRST DAY OF WORK!! Will be home approximately 7:30 pm tonight :) Talk to you later!

Children and Bus stop..

Hello everyone,

I decided to do a post about the children and the bus stops.. Oak Ridge schools has one mile radius where the children will not be picked up by the bus but to walk across some dangerous streets to get to school.. I am fortunately that we are not in that one mile radius BUT I worry because after school, my sons will start walking to Boy's Club since I am back in workforce..

This happened in Knoxville today and it's close to where Nurse Vicki lives, I think.. I know the boy should have stopped but I still disagree that schools have the bus stops at dangerous intersections or highways. I feel that they should put children's safety FIRST before the budget. The city should be able to provide that and take away from some other avenues that can spare the monies..

Our children should be protected and shouldn't be put in dangers way at any cost.. I pray for each and every child to be safe acrossing the streets everywhere!

Our Saturday and weather..

Hello Everyone!

It's rainy Sunday here in East Tennessee.. I am RELIEVED that it's not SNOWING!! Even though Sandy may strangle me for that because she's looking forward SNOW!! :)

I was really worried about it being snowing today because I am to report to orientation tomorrow (Monday) and I REFUSE to drive in snow/icy condition.. No need to risk damages to my car and use my insurance to pay for the damages etc if they would pay for it. So I am much relieved to know we are just having rain instead.. :)

Mmmm, our Saturday was uneventful but I am so excited we FINALLY have a spanking brand new mattress on our bed!! We have always gotten "hand me down" mattress for last 15 years and the last one was from my Dad.. He has mattress that had tubes of water and zip up the "blanket" and it would act like waterbed but in mattress.. I don't see that anywhere nowadays but it was in style years ago.. Dad had it for about 10 to 15 years and he decided to buy a new mattress and gave us his mattress.. We had it for 2 years and the zipper started to not stay together, I guess Bucky and I toss and turn too much for the zippers :) So it was exposing the tubes when we lay on the mattress so Bucky and I have decided to start looking for mattress and we went to a store in Powell, They had emergency liquidation sale going on and every mattress set was on sale for 50 percent off.. We found one we liked so we bought one and brought home.. Last night was a BEST NIGHT SLEEP I have had in a long time!! YAY!! The mattress was perfect!! WHEW!! So I will get good sleep before heading work..

Mom, Dad, Sandy, Robert, Joann (Robert's sister), Bucky, Tori, Ryan and I went to Chicken City in Knoxville to buy chicken to stock up our freezer.. Bucky and I usually go a couple time a year to buy chicken in bulk and put in freezer.. 40 lbs of boneless/skinless chicken breasts and in each 10 lbs bags, it has about 38 breasts in it so it's 152 breasts.. So I feel that it's worthwhile to get that..

Prayer list for

Deanna Taylor to regain her strength as she went home from hospital.
Jeff Davis- he had outpatient procedure last Thursday and I have not heard anything yet.
Mae Shea- She's Robert's ex sister in law, she has been and still is in hospital for a month now.
Sandy and Ginny Duncan- Vacation trip to Florida, have a safe and enjoyable trip.
Bill and Tina Carver- unspoken request..

Please keep those in your prayers to be able to move to the next phase in their health toward recovery..

Stories from my two nieces

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to share two stories I got from my nieces, Brittany and Rebecca. They emailed me their short stories and gave me their permission to share the stories with you.

They have very good imagination and have talent for storytelling.. I am proud of them!! I told them I look forward more stories from them so I hope to find some stories in my inbox on regular basis :)

This is from Brittany who is 10 years old.

The Werewolf
By: Brittany Lea Carver

There it is right in front of me. Before I knew I was on my back with a sharp pain in my arm. I slowly crawl to my feet leaving a trail of blood behind me. I'm trying to hunt down that ugly old werewolf. (two weeks later on a full moon) That day I got up and I had forgotten all about the werewolf. Then I realized once a werewolf has bitten you, on the next full moon you become a werewolf.
I run to the calendar to see what the date is. "Oh no tonight is the night of the full moon", I ran out the door with a gun and a silver bullet. The only way to kill off a generation of werewolves is to kill off the very first one who started it.
(Two hours laters almost 11:00 P.M.) "As I crept through the woods I spot the oldest werewolf". "I'm going to kill you and end this generation now!" (12:00 midnight now and too late) I begin to grow hair all over my body, my shoes and clothes are all shredding to pieces and falling from my body. I was different from all the other werewolves. I was good werewolf. I jumped on the other werewolf and began to beat him with my super werewolf powers. As soon as he dies I turn back into a human.
When I was werewolf I still saved all the other werewolves and turned them into human again. From that day on some reason I still had the power. I was able to control the power and turn it on and off as I wanted to. Every now and then there will be a bad crime and I will come to the rescue. I am known as the Human Werewolf.

This is from Rebecca who is 8 years old..

Once upon a time there was a pony who had no home. It was a girl the pony saw a boy pony he was so fast the girl pony caught up with the boy pony the boy pony fell in love. With the girl pony then they got married . Then lived happy ever affter. The End

Something to chuckle at! and Announcement

Sandy sent me this and I replied "OMG!!" There is NO WAY I'll do that!! LOL! Have fun!

A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room, waiting for the doctor to come in for the baby's first exam. The doctor arrived, and examined the baby, checked his weight, and being a little concerned, asked if the baby was breast-fed or bottle-fed?

"Breast-fed,"she replied.

"Well, strip down to your waist," the doctor ordered. She did. He pinched her nipples, pressed, kneaded, and rubbed both breasts for a while in a very professional and detailed examination.

Motioning to her to get dressed The doctor said, "No wonder this baby is underweight. You don't have any milk."

"I know," she said, "I'm his Grandma, but I'm glad I came."

I am NOW EMPLOYED!!! YAY!! I will come in for my orientation on Jan 22nd and start working on Wednesday when my department/shift begins.. I am SO EXCITED!! I can't wait to start working! I will have two other deaf co-workers so that must be fun!

I'm so tickled!!! YAY!!! Will post later how I like the job! :)

Email I got and Girl Scout cookies..

Thanks Mom for this one.. I laughed at that and if I happen to have the chance to do this, I would do it to my children ;) LOL!!

HAVING MOM OVER FOR DINNER:
Brian invited his mother over for dinner. During the course of the meal, Brian's mother couldn't help but notice how beautiful Brian's roommate, Jennifer, was. Brian's Mom had long been suspicious of a relationship between Brian and Jennifer, and this had only made her more curious.

Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between Brian and Jennifer than met the eye. Reading his mom's thoughts, Brian volunteered, "I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you Jennifer and I are just roommates."

About a week later, Jennifer came to Brian saying, "Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find that beautiful silver gravy ladle. "You don't suppose she took it, do you?"

Brian said, "Well, I doubt it, but I'll send her an e-mail just to be sure. So he sat down and wrote:

Dear Mom:

I'm not saying that you "did" take the gravy ladle from the house, I'm not saying that you "did not" take the gravy ladle, but the fact remains that one has been missing ever since you were here for dinner.

Love, Brian

Several days later, Brian received an email back from his mother that read:

Dear Son,

I'm not saying that you "do" sleep with Jennifer, I'm not saying that you "do not" sleep with Jennifer but the fact remains that if Jennifer is sleeping in her own bed, she would have found the gravy ladle by now.

Love, Mom

LESSON OF THE DAY - NEVER LIE TO YOUR MOTHER

Tori's troop at TSD (Troop #864) will be accepting orders for Girl Scout cookies on January 19th so if you are local and would like to support TSD's Girl Scout, please let me know and I will direct your order to the Troop. Another post, Another day..

Hello everyone from East Tennessee where it's raining some..

Hope everyone had a good day.. I stayed home with Ryan today, decided to do some filing but unfortunately that wasn't meant to be.. :) So I decided to put filing up for another day when I'm all alone.. BUT That really needs to be done ASAP because I'm going to be at orientation on Monday and will start my working days then I won't have time to do filing..

I told the family that I would like to go to Romano's Macaroni Grill in Knoxville on February 3rd if I am not working that day so we can celebrate the family being employed! :) Sandy, Robert, Mom, Dad, Granny, Gramps and the kids hasn't tasted the yummy food at the restaurant so Bucky and I wanted them to join us and enjoy the good Italian food they have.. I really look forward that.. I have been there twice, once at Durham NC with Lauren then again in Orlando Florida where Bucky and I got gift certificate to eat there from Disney World.. It's wonderful! YUMMY!! :)

Bucky is wanting to have small and simple Super Bowl party either at Mom and Dad's as they have big screen TV they bought recently or to have it at our house, I am waiting for Mom and Dad to confirm it.. LOL!! Bucky's rooting for Indianapolis Colts to win to be able to play in Super Bowl.. :) GO COLTS GO!

Keep warm and bundled up! Till then, M-

Families should be cherished..

Hello Everyone once again!

I am going to post something about Families today.. I feel I wanted to make sure my family (both sides - my family and in-laws) know that we do cherish them very much..

I am grateful for remaining grandparents we have- Granny and Gramps (Mary and Arthur Wilkinson Jr.) and Mom Mom and Pop (Mildred and Joseph Mitchell Jr.). We don't get to see Mom Mom and Pop very often but we do think of them often and love them dearly.. We are hoping to be able to make some plans to come down to North Carolina to visit Mom Mom and Pop and to visit Mom and Bill and his family soon. We get to see Granny and Gramps often via VP and we go and take them on their errands once a week sometimes once in two weeks depending on what's needed to be done.

Both set of grandparents has celebrated 60th anniversary, Wilkinson is on their 63rd anniversary and Mitchell is on their 61st anniversary. The milestone tells something about them that they are something special! As marriage really does take hard work and compromises, give and take and communication and they all are living proof that we are able to do this if we are WILLING to do what it takes in the marriage.. They are valuable people in our families..

Granny, Gramps, Mom Mom, Pop - I want you to know that we do love you very much and are so grateful to have you in our lives! We learn how to do things better by watching how you do in your lives and marriage.. Thank you for being a good example for us all! We love you!

I also want to say I cherish our parents very much.. Mom and Dad Wynn and Mom Mitchell and Dad Carver..

Mom and Dad Wynn and Mom Mitchell has maintained and still do have close contact with us so we have no problem with communication and we are able to say whatever we want or need to say. They helps us out whenever we need some helping, nothing major really just something simple like their grandparents duties of watching their precious grandchildren when we need to do something that kids are not suggested to go etc. The grandkids adores them very much! They meant so much to us and we love them dearly. Dad Carver, on other hand has not been around last few years. It's sad that we don't really have relationship with him but we still love him dearly because he's Dad to Bucky and Papaw to the grandkids nonetheless. It was good to see him at PaPaw's funeral recently and he has said he wants to see us more often. So let's hope that it does happen..

To two Moms and two Dads, Thank you for raising us and teaching us how to live our lives the way we would be proud of ourselves, being proud of us when we do something right and be patient when we make tons of mistakes.. Each parents are unique and special to each set of children and I think we got the best set of parents! We love you dearly and forever!

And of course, Sisters and Brothers, Sandy and Robert McMillan and Bill and Tina Carver..

I don't know what I would do without Sandy at times when I needed a sister to lean on. She has been and still is WONDERFUL sister to me! Sandy and I had our share of arguments when we were young but nothing bad or serious enough to divide us. Our struggles in life had made us much closer than we ever had been. We bail each other out in time of need, may it be money, support, or just being there for each other. She is the best sister that was given to me by my parents and God. We talk THOUSAND times a day and no, I didn't forget Robert, :) I do love Robert as he has been real good to Sandy and being gentle in their relationship. He provides for her the way husband should be able to provide for the wife. I do want to strangle Robert at times for posting some pictures of me on his blog which I really HATE! But that's a simple thing LOL!

We don't get to see or hear from Bill and Tina very often but we do love them dearly and wish we were able to have the close relationship that I do have with Sandy. Whenever we do get together, we do have our laughs and good time but it came on very few occasions when we do get to see each other. Hopefully we will be able to get together more often because I do not want Bucky to be "divided" from his family.

To Sandy and Robert, Bill and Tina We do want you all to know we do cherish you very much and we are so glad that we do have you in our lives because without you, our life wouldn't amount to much. We look forward to grow old with our brothers and sisters! Nothing is better than sister and brother when we lose our parents.. Always remember we do love you very much..

and Our precious nieces Brittany and Rebecca and nephew Jonathan,

I can't even begin to tell you how much Brittany and Rebecca means to me.. They are my girls! They make me proud to be a Aunt even though I know they are from Bucky's side.. The girls makes my day when they send cute things via emails and say "Aunt Mary" and I know I meant something to them. When they were here for the weekend of New Year, they gave me plenty of hugs and ILYs and made me feel beaming happy.. Brittany was real precious when she said she didn't want Grandma to go with us to museum, she wanted to spend time alone with me so I took the kids to museum which made me feel special even though I felt bad for Grandma..

We don't get to see Jonathan very often, our last visit with Jonathan was about 4 or 5 years ago but I still love him because he's part of our family whether we see him or not. I don't send him any money or gifts because I wouldn't know what happens to the gifts we send so until he comes around, we will just remember him and love him from afar..

To my girls Brittany and Rebecca and Jonathan, I love you each very much. Brittany and Becky, You don't even know how much I really feel special when you come around. You are always welcome to come and visit Aunt Mary and Uncle Bucky. You have a home away from home at any time.. Whenever you get bored with Mom and Dad, you can come and visit us! HA!

To the pets in households- Buddy, Bandit, Angel, Blackie, Brownie, Squeekers, Monkey, Carmel, Max, Puggly, Booda,

You all have claimed your place in our houses and my heart forever and always. Even though there are times that you did things you are not supposed to do like chewing things, potty in the house etc but you have my love and trust in you!

At last but not least, my Honey and children...

I also cherish my husband and my children very much. Without them, my life wouldn't meant so much to me. They make my days worthwhile to go on and have something to look forward to such as purpose of childhood milestones-driving, proms, graduations, college, graduation from colleges, employments, marriages, homes, grandchildren.. I look forward to grow old with Bucky and enjoy our golden years together enjoying the life together.

The most important thing is that I really cherish my Lord.. He has provided me with the life I have right now, He gave me the family that fits me perfect, He gave me the obstacles in my life to see the true meaning of Faith, Love and Family. Each time we get through the obstacles, it makes us better person and view things in different light.

If you have not told your family how much they meant to you, please do so before it's too late.. I wanted to do this because death can come at any time.. Death won't wait for you when you are ready to say what you want to say to your loved ones. Some of us have the chance to tell but not all of us do. Tell your loved one on regular basis so they know you love them and they love you too.

I pray and hope 2007 will be better year for everyone even though they have a good year in 2006..

Welcome to 2007!!

Hello Everyone!

This is my first post for 2007! I wish everyone a happy and good year as we go on our journey into 2007..

End of 2006 has brought deaths to America, James Brown, Former President Gerald Ford, among several people as well as Bucky's PaPaw in Sevierville TN.. Good night and sleep tight..

The trip for PaPaw's funeral also gave Bucky the chance to see his Dad after a while.. I have something funny to mention about Bucky and his Dad.. The interpreter, Tina and I was talking while Bucky and his Dad was in the receiving line accepting sympathies from family and friends. Tina and I was talking about how Bucky and his Dad looked alike.. I have always thought Bucky looked like his Mom but after seeing them side by side, I realized he does looks like his Dad as well. Tina mentioned that she now know where Bucky has his sarcasm teasing and saying funny things as she kept hearing Bucky's Dad doing the same thing to the guests that came by their way.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

We also had a very good visit with Bucky's Mom and our nieces, Brittany and Rebecca. I am so PROUD of those girls being able to communicate with me without having much help on interpreting from Bucky's Mom.. I am so pleased and looking forward to have the precious girls visiting us soon! I always enjoy the visits we get from Mom in NC.. Thank you for bringing the girls for us and thank you for staying with us till New Year Day! Brittany is 10 yr old with brown hair, Rebecca is 8 years old with blond hair and they both are my girls!

I had a job interview this morning (Wednesday) and hope to be able to start working soon! It would be a great way to start 2007 by having a job that pays money and be able to make a living.. Prayers and good thoughts for the job interview please.. I will know within 7 to 10 days if I have the job for sure.. They have offered me the job and the orienation will be on January 22nd IF my background check, references and drug test are all cleared.. :)
