Thank you Mom in Florida..

Thank you Mom in Florida.. I was waiting for someone to ask for the answers to the questions but didn't hear from anyone till you posted your comment :)

So here it is..

ANSWERS:

(1) This will define your priorities in your life.

Cow Signifies CAREER
Tiger Signifies PRIDE
Sheep Signifies LOVE
Horse Signifies FAMILY
Pig Signifies MONEY

(2) Your description of dog implies your own personality. Your description of cat implies the personality of your partner.
Your description of rat implies the personality of your enemies.
Your description of coffee is how you interpret sex.
Your description of the sea implies your own life.

(3) Yellow: Someone you will never forget
Orange: Someone you consider your true friend
Red: Someone that you really love
White: Your twin soul
Green: Someone that you will remember for the rest of your life

4) You have to send this message to as many persons as your favorite number and your wish will come true on the day that you recorded. This is what the Dalai Lama has said about the Millennium - just take a few seconds to look it up, read it and think. Do not put away this message, the mantra will come out from your hands in the next 96 hours. You will have a very pleasant surprise. This is true, even if you are not superstitious.

Please do this. It is fascinating.

SEND THIS E- MAIL MANTRA TO AT LEAST FIVE PERSONS AND YOUR LIFE WILL IMPROVE.

0-4 persons: Your life will improve slightly
5-9 persons: Your life will improve to your liking
9-14 persons: You will have at least 5 surprises in the next three weeks
15 or more persons: Your life will improve drastically and all that you wish will come true..

I got this as a forward from Mom and Sandy so I'm doing this so you can do this also.. :)

The Dalai Lama suggests you read it to see if it works for you. Very interesting. Just 4 questions and the answers will surprise you.

Be honest and do not cheat by looking up the answers. The mind is like a parachute, it works best when it is opened. This is fun to do, but you have to follow the instructions very closely. Do not cheat.

MAKE A WISH BEFORE BEGINNING THE TEST!

A warning! Answer the questions as you go along. There are only 4 questions and if you see them all before finishing, you will not have honest results.

Go down slowly, and complete each exercise as you scroll down. Don't look ahead. Get pencil and paper to write your answers as you go along.

You will need it at the end. This is an honest questionnaire which will tell you a lot about your true self. Give an answer for each item. The first thing that comes to mind is usually your best answer. Remember - no one sees this but you.

(1) Put the following 5 animals in the order of your preference:

Cow, Tiger, Sheep, Horse, Pig

(2) Write one word that describes each one of the following:

Dog, Cat, Rat, Coffee, Sea.

(3) Think of someone, who also knows you and is important to you, which you can relate them to the following colors. Do not repeat your answer twice.

Name just one person for each color: Yellow, Orange, Red, White, Green.

(4) Finally, write down your favorite number, and your favorite day of the week.

FINISHED? Please be sure that your answers are what you REALLY WANT.

Home Sweet Home for Tori..

Hello everyone!

Tori's home once again! :)

We left about noonish yesterday after Bucky getting back home from work and oil place where he took our car to have oil changed etc before hitting the road.. We stopped at Burger King for our lunch then finally hitting the I-75 toward Chattanooga.. We stopped to get gas after eating at Burger King, Bucky and Justin went inside the store to pay and came out with a bumper sticker that will go on Bucky's truck.. I had to take picture of it and share it on the album page.. I enjoyed chatting with two Mom's (Bucky's and My mom) via IM. In no time, we were already in Georgia..

When we were in Atlanta getting on I-85 which was about couple miles away from where Tori was, I got IM from Tori.. She wanted to know where we were! LOL! I told her that we were in Atlanta and not too far from her so we finally got there, Tori was all ready to go home!

We asked her if she enjoyed herself, she said yes she had good time and made friends with students from different states, (Florida, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, two from California and yes, of course from Georgia!) But of course with different ages among the girls, a 17 yr old girl from Alabama and Tori who is youngest one there at age of 12 had some argument going on and it kinda of ruined the moment for her as the girl was the first one that made Tori her friend then middle of the week, they got in argument and that "divided up" the friendship Tori has with bunch of girls..

She said she don't know if she will return next year.. I told her that I think it would be more fun when she has some of her teammates from TSD attending as well so that way she will have some friends she already know there with her.. So I will check into having some of her teammates from TSD attending with her next year..

We went to recreation center as there was all star games between girls team and boy team but the gym was TOO HOT! Justin, Tori and Ryan was restless so Bucky and I gave up and left at 7:45 pm.. Thank goodness the traffic was not that bad as it was last Sunday. We finally arrived home at 12:15 am after stopping to eat at a cafe near Chattanooga.. Bucky and I nearly have our eyes popped out when we got the bill for our dinner.. It was only $19.98 for four of us at buffet and Ryan picking a kid meal! :) We picked right place to eat! At motel which kids get to eat free! HEE HEE!! Bucky and I was charged $8.00 each for us to eat buffet, $2 dollar for our drinks plus tax so it came to measly $19.98! Comparing to dinners we have ate at different resturants, it usually cost us nearly 50 dollars to eat out with family of 5.. So that was really welcome price for our dinner! :)

Bucky and I were talking other day about resturants we are picking out are so much different from when we first married nearly 15 years ago. We were poor and we only ate fast food such as Taco bell, McDonald's, etc then the years goes by, now we usually eat at resturant that actually have good choices of foods and we can sit down and enjoy our meal.. We have came long way from one point to this :) It doesn't mean we are not poor now LOL! It just meant that we are mature enough now to enjoy our food..

We are just happy we have gotten our daughter home and our trip was safe!

Till then, M-

Theft..

I got this via email from Ronda in NC.. I don't know if it's true but it seems like it could happen and we need to use COMMON SENSE!!

SCENE 1
This is a new one. People sure stay busy trying to cheat us, don't they?

A friend went to the local gym & placed his belongings in the locker. After the workout & a shower, he came out, saw the locker open, & thought to himself, "Funny, I thought I locked the locker. Hmmmmm." He dressed & just flipped the wallet to make sure all was in order. Everything looked okay - all cards were in place.

A few weeks later his credit card bill came - a whooping bill of $14,000!

He called the credit card company & started yelling at them, saying that he did not make the transactions. Customer care personnel verified that there was no mistake in the system & asked if his card had been stolen."No," he said, but then took out his wallet, pulled out the credit card, & yep - you guessed it - a switch had been made. An expired similar credit card from the same bank was in the wallet. The thief broke into his locker at the gym & switched cards.

Verdict: The credit card issuer said since he did not report the card missing earlier, he would have to pay the amount owed to them. How much did he have to pay for items he did not buy? $9,000! Why were there no calls made to verify the amount swiped?

Small amounts rarely trigger a "warning bell" with some credit card companies. It just so happens that all the small amounts added up to big one!

SCENE 2

A man at a local restaurant paid for his meal with his credit card. The bill for the meal came, he signed it, and the waitress folded the receipt and passed the credit card along. Usually, he would just take it & place it in his wallet or pocket. Funny enough, though, he actually took a look at the card, lo & behold, it was the expired card of another person. He called the waitress, she looked perplexed. She took it back, apologized, hurried back to the counter under the watchful eye of the man.

All the waitress did while walking to the counter was wave the wrong expired card to the counter cashier, the counter cashier immediately looked down & took out the real card. No exchange of words --- nothing! She took it & came back to the man with an apology.

Verdict: Make sure the credit cards in your wallet are yours. Check the name on the card every time you sign for something and/or the card is taken away for even a short period of time. Many people just take back the credit card without even looking at it, "assuming" that it has to be theirs.

FOR YOUR OWN SAKE, DEVELOP THE HABIT OF CHECKING YOUR CREDIT CARD EACH TIME IT IS RETURNED TO YOU AFTER A TRANSACTION!

SCENE 3

Yesterday I went into a pizza restaurant to pick up an order that I had called in. I paid by using my Visa Check Card which, of course, is linked directly to my checking account. The young man behind the counter took my card, swiped it, then laid it onthe counter as he waited for the approval, which is pretty standard procedure. While he waited, he picked up his cell phone & started dialing. I noticed the phone because it is the same model I have, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Then I heard a click that sounded like my phone sounds when I take a picture. He then gave me back my card but kept the phone in his hand as if he was still pressing buttons. Meanwhile, I'm thinking: I wonder what he is taking a picture of, oblivious to what was really going on. It then dawned on me: the only thing there was my credit card, so now I'm paying close attention to what he is doing. He set his phone on the counter, leaving it open. About five seconds later, I heard the chime that tells you that the picture has been saved. Now I'm standing there struggling with the fact that this boy just took a picture of my credit card. Yes, he played it off well, because had we not had the same kind of phone, I probably would never have known what happened.

Needless to say, I immediately canceled that card as I was walking out of the pizza parlor.

All I am saying is, be aware of your surroundings at all times. Whenever you are using your credit cards, take caution, don't be careless. Notice who is standing near you & what they are doing when you use your card. Be aware of phones because many have a camera phone these days. When you are in a restaurant and the waiter/waitress brings your card & receipt for you to sign, make sure you scratch the number off. Some restaurants are using only the last four digits, but a lot of them are still putting the whole thing on there. I have already been a victim of credit card fraud &, believe me, it is not fun.

The truth is that they can get you even when you are careful, but don't make it easy for them.

NOTE: Don't just walk away take the time to talk to the manager or call the police.

Today Justin celebrated a month anniversary relationship with Elizabeth at the movie.. I thought it was cute that they celebrated it together.. It makes me look back at what Bucky and I did to celebrate our milestones together and it seems like 100 years ago but at the same time it seems like yesterday when we declared each other as my boyfriend/girlfriend. Those old days! :)

*****

Tonight marks the last night Tori has to share with new friends in GA.. We will be leaving around noonish tomorrow and should be able to arrive Decatur GA between 4 to 5 pm.. I can't wait to see her tomorrow and find out how much she enjoyed herself this week..

*****

Please keep the family of Jean Roberts in Oak Ridge in your prayers.. Her son, Dean is very heartbroken as his wife suddenly passed away yesterday morning.. I have not gotten full story yet but just keep them in prayers as it's always hard few days or weeks or months when you are trying to deal with the death in family..

If you would like to see Bucky's truck, you can view the picture on the album page.. :)

I am so excited I got Blackberry 7290 and I have been trying to make sure I'm learning my way around that new toy.. I told Mom and Bucky that I have some features I like from BB and some from sidekick so I wish I could create RIMKICK and have those features put into one device :) Isn't that good idea?!?!? LOL!

I will close at this point so I can mosey into bed and say ZZZZZZZZZZZZ till morning.. :)

Another Wednesday in Tennessee..

Hello everyone!

I am wondering at this point of the day how my Tori is doing in Georgia.. We dropped her off at Decatur GA for a 5 days basketball camp last Sunday.. Mike Glenn has a basketball camp for deaf children every year and this year is the 27th anniversary.. I know Tori will enjoy and make new friends but I just wished that she had someone who she knows there so she can have someone she can hang out with until she has some new friends to hang out with..

I felt so strange leaving her there because she has no one she knows there, Staff or students.. Even though I did see a couple of GSD students chatting up a storm in the lobby, I am hoping they will become friends of Tori.. We will know more information on how she likes the camp on Friday when we come to pick her up after the special event they are having Friday evening from 6 to 9 pm.. They will meet current and former NBAplayers, former Harlem Globetrotters players, Atlanta Hawk dancers, and so on.. I think they will have wonderful closing to the camp.

*****

Saturday, we celebrated early Father's Day dinner at Golden Corral with Granny and Gramps, Mom and Dad, Sandy and Robert.. We ate till we were stuffed! It was worthwhile! :) Then Bucky and I took Granny and Gramps to Wal-Mart to do their grocery shopping and brought them back home. We went and pick up our kids at Mom and Dad's and went home and to bed.. So we could get up early Sunday morning for the trip to GA.. :)

While we were at Granny and Gramps's apartment, Bucky saw there was a pick-up truck for sale so he went and checked it out. He was interested in the truck but we wanted to have hearing person to help us listening to the truck to see if it has any trouble etc. So I asked Vicki if she could come, she said yes she would come and bring her husband Doug.. So they met us at Granny and Gramps's apartment on Monday.. They said the truck sounds good so we bought the truck. Now Bucky is happy he has a truck after being so patient waiting for a truck! :) His next goal is to get motorcycle.. Mmmm... That has to wait till we get some of our credit cards paid off! LOL!

Bucky now is a proud owner of 1989 Ford Ranger XLT (it has seats in back so the kids can ride in the cab) and I get my car back! Bucky has been using the car to go work with as the van is not able to make the round trip without stalling.. So now I am happy I have my car back so I can go around town while Bucky is at work :)

**Vicki and Doug, Thank you so much for helping us out with the truck! We love ya both! :)**

I will have to ask Sandy and Robert if they can take a picture of the truck so we can post the picture here so you can see his new truck.. :)

I have 2 questions to ask of my readers..

Are you familiar with Childhood Lupus/Rheumatoid Arthritis in children?

Are you parents of child that is diagnosed with ADHD?

If you are, can you please get in touch with me as I would like to learn more about this. Thank you very much..

Tomorrow, June 22nd will be 6th anniversary of Angel Scruggs, baby of Sandy and her ex husband David.

Please pray for Sandy to be able to get through the day as the day is usually the bad day for her to go through.. Also please pray for all women and men, who has miscarriages as it is not easy to go through it.. So many couples has been struggling with the miscarriage issues..

Thank you for reading my posts..

Sharing emails with you..

I got several emails from Vicki this morning and I thought those was funny that I wanted to post and share the funnies.. Thanks Vicki!

Married 25 years, took a look at my wife one day and said, "Honey, 25 years ago, we had a cheap apartment, a cheap car, slept on a sofa bed, and watched a 10-inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 25-year old blond. Now, we have a nice house, nice car, big bed, and plasma screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 50-year old woman. It seems to me that you are not holding up your side of things."

My wife is a very reasonable woman. She told me to go out and find a hot 25-year old blond, and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap apartment, driving a cheap car, and sleeping on a sofa bed. **

Just before the funeral services, the undertaker came up to the very elderly widow and asked, "How old was your husband?" "98," she replied. "Two years older than me." "So you're 96," the undertaker commented. She responded, "Hardly worth going home, is it…

Reporters interviewing a 104-year-old woman: "And what do you think is the best thing about being 104?" the reporter asked. She simply replied, "No peer pressure."

I feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape, so I got my doctor's permission to join a fitness club and start exercising. I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors. I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour. But, by the time I got my leotards on, the class was over.

An elderly woman decided to prepare her will and told her preacher she had two final requests. First, she wanted to be cremated, and second, she wanted her ashes scattered over Wal-Mart. "Wal-Mart?" the preacher exclaimed. "Why Wal-Mart?" "Then I'll be sure my daughters visit me twice a week "

This one is from Mom.. She sent me the link that was in USA-L.. I looked at those signs and I didn't like how the lady signed a few words.. GRRR.. Sign #2, #7, #11, #12, #16 are the signs I disagree with, I don't sign "Sleep" like that lady did but I have seen some people sign that way so I am not sure if some people in different states does sign this..

This one came from Sandy, my sister..

With Summer Vacation season upon us, I found this to be some good reading. These are actual comments left on Forest Service registration sheets and comment cards by backpackers completing wilderness camping trips:

"A small deer came into my camp and stole my bag of pickles. Is there a way I can get reimbursed? Please call."

"Escalators would help on steep uphill sections."

"Instead of a permit system or regulations, the Forest Service needs to reduce worldwide population growth to limit the number of visitors to wilderness."

"Trails need to be wider so people can walk while holding hands."

"Ban walking sticks in wilderness. Hikers that use walking sticks are more likely to chase animals."

"All the mile markers are missing this year."

"Found a smouldering cigarette left by a horse."

"Trails need to be reconstructed. Please avoid building trails that go uphill."

"Too many bugs and leeches and spiders and spider webs. Please spray the wilderness to rid the area of these pests."

"Please pave the trails so they can be plowed of snow in the winter."

"Chairlifts need to be in some places so that we can get to wonderful views without having to hike to them."

"The coyotes made too much noise last night and kept me awake. Please eradicate these annoying animals."

"Reflectors need to be placed on trees every 50 feet so people can hike at night with flashlights."

"Need more signs to keep area pristine."

"A McDonald's would be nice at the trailhead."

"The places where trails do not exist are not well marked."

"Too many rocks in the mountains.

How to remove a tick..

Thanks to Nurse Vicki for this..

FYI -- A School Nurse has written the info below -- good enough to Share --

I had a pediatrician tell me what she believes is the best way to remove a tick. This is great , because it works in those places where it's sometimes difficult to get to with tweezers: between toes, in the middle of a head full of dark hair, etc.

Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few seconds (15-20), the tick will come out on it's own and be stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away. This technique has worked every time I've used it (and in KY, that was frequently), and it's much less traumatic for the patient and easier for me.

Unless someone is allergic to soap, I can't see that this would be damaging in any way. I even had my doctor's wife call me for advice because she had one stuck to her back and she couldn't reach It with tweezers. She used this method and immediately called me back to say, "It worked!"

Whew!! It's Monday!!

Hey Everyone! It's MONDAY!! :)

Congratulation to Rebecca, Nurse Vicki's daughter on being saved and being baptizied in two weeks! I know how much Nurse Vicki was really praying for that and now it's happening.. :)

My poor Mom has a rough weekend.. She had been having stressful week then Saturday evening, Mom vped me and the first thing I noticed was that her face was VERY RED.. I asked "Are you crying?" She said "No but feel my blood pressure is high and took pressure and it was 195/90" I told her "GO TO HOSPITAL NOW!" Sandy happened to walk in Mom and Dad's house and I asked Sandy to please take Mom to hospital. So Sandy and Mom went to hospital in Oak Ridge, Mom's BP was 225/99. They wanted her to do EKG test, that came back normal and wanted her to do blood labwork but that came back normal as well. They asked for urine specimen and that came back normal.. Mmmmm They gave her two shots of medicine through IV and it got her pressure go down to 169/77 before the hospital decided to discharge her..

The doctor said for Mom to be quiet and don't be under any stress until she sees her regular doctor so I decided to contact Ridor and Hedor's parents as they were supposed to come today for a week visit. I know they are disappointed that the plans was cancelled but it is best for my Mom's health. I know Mom would go out of her way trying to please her guests and that is not good time to be doing that until her blood pressure is under control. She has been taking medicine for HBP for about 10 to 11 years now. Mom saw the doctor today at 1 pm and the doctor wants to test medicine for two weeks and she has to come back in 2 weeks..

I hate that for her because she has a lot of things going on her plate right now.. Hope that it will help her to be able to say "Sorry, I can't handle this anymore" and just let things go.

Bucky passed his motorcycle class and will be getting his license modified to have motorcycle added to it.. He is thrilled that he's able to ride motorcycle after getting license.. He has been out in sun Saturday and Sunday as the instructors had 12 motorcycles available and they worked on different things in hot sun. Bucky came home with dark skin on his face.. :)
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
He said that he's considering buying motorcycle before he buys a truck.. That's a big surprise! :) He has wanted truck for a long time.. Mmm We'll see..

Ryan and Tori enjoyed their camping trip with our neighbors and came home yesterday.. They had some sunburn and sunblisters :( but otherwise they are doing great and really had fun at the campground.. Justin went and spent the weekend with his friend in Clinton.. Mmmm So I was home all alone and it was nice and relaxing.. :)

Tori will be leaving next Sunday on Father's Day to go to Georgia for basketball camp for the Deaf hosted by Mike Glenn.. You can check his website out.. His Dad taught at Georgia School for the Deaf and he grew up using sign language so it was wonderful for him to do this camp for last 27 years! Tori is very excited about this trip.. :) So I am running around this week getting things she will need for the camp before we leave on Sunday..

Tomorrow will be Dad and Robert's birthdays.. Combined, they will be 110 years old.. WOW!! :)

I will close for now.. Till Then, M-
