My Saturday in Knoxville..
Hello everyone!
Saturday was a fun filled day for me even though I had short hours of sleep! Tori had sprained her ankle Friday evening and spent from 8:30 pm till 2 am in E.R. So I slept from 3 am till 8:30 am Saturday morning.. Mom had a Stampin' Up party that she was hosting on Saturday so Sandy, Tori, Mom and I was supposed to go together but Sandy changed her mind and didn't go with us! Tori and Mom and I went to Knoxville, I made a card and did a shrink tag and I had FUN!! It was real cool thing to be able to do this so I think I will pop up at Mom's to do some stamping as she has a lot of stuff but not as much as Pat Rittenhouse have! :)
I think I may start taking some classes as she has monthly classes so I am considering doing that so I can have a little hobby on the side when I need to escape the hectic life I have :)..
Then when 3 pm came, Bucky, Dad, Justin, Ryan, Sandy and Robert met us at KCD then we all went out to Arby's to eat our early dinner and by time it was 4 pm and we were done with our dinner so we decided to go ahead and go to see if we can get the parking space near the Circus. OH BOY! We were fortunately to have easy access to parking which was across the street from Circus.. So we walked over, they had booths selling stuff so I bought a program book for $15.00.. When I went over to the booth where there were program books, DVD etc for sale, Sandy had asked how much the program book was for and to my surprise, the guy could SIGN!! So he and I were able to talk without using Sandy as an interpreter! :) When I told him that "it is real cool that he could sign and communicate with me", he said "my parents deaf" so I said "no wonder!" :) I bet he met so many deaf people in cities wherever they stop by!
We went inside and looked at many different things, I couldn't believe how much the stuff cost! Ryan wanted a plastic sword that blinks and it cost $15.00!! I told him that's too much money because I bought him at least 10 plastic swords and each one of them are broken! So I don't want to see the $15.00 fly down the drain! Of course, Ryan started to cry.. They had stuffed animals, figurines and such.. They also had a portrait studio where people can have picture made with either elephant or tiger.. Of course we had to choose elephant! :) Dad is supposed to scan the picture of me so we will post it as soon as we can. :)
We finally were able to go in the seating area and took our seats, separately.. Bucky, Tori and Ryan were seated in row 7, seats 1-3 while Sandy, Robert, Mom, Dad, Justin and I were seated in row 8 seats 9-14.. We were disappointed that we were split up but thankfully Tori was able to sit on row 7 as she sprained her ankle the night before so she wouldn't be able to elevate her foot on the railing..
The Circus show was very nice but not as glamorous as I remembered from my childhood. I remembered all those tigers, Human cannonball, trapeze artists, walking on high line, those "daredevil" things that keep us on edge of our seats.. Instead of tigers, they had house cats (they were well-trained cats than many I have seen ) and they had the dogs playing tricks which were real cute! Way to do dogs!! :) They had clowns, NO circus would be complete without any clowns! They had some performances then after the intermission, there were 5 or 6 white tigers.. They did have elephants! Then 7 motorcycles went in a huge metal ball and rode high speed in the ball, that was amazing! They had Herkcles.. A jeep went over his stomach OUCH!! Mmmmm It was really different from what I remember, it could be because when I first saw the Ringling Bros, I was in AWE and now I'm older and think that's not the same.. MM I guess..
I am just very glad that my children has the chance to see the circus and experience that in their childhood.. So they can say We did see the Greatest Show in the World! :)
Justin bought bag of cotton candy that came with a "Dr. Seuss" type hat for $10.00!!! YIKES! I didn't want to spend much money at the circus so didn't spend much except for $4.00 for a funnel cake that I shared with Mom, Dad, Sandy, Robert and Justin. A cup of Coke was for $4.00 too.. Mmmmm..
By time the circus was done, we were ready to go home so we got home around 9:30 pm and I went to bed by 10:15.. :) Robert and Sandy shared their snapshots that Robert took of Circus so I'm able to post some pictures.. Thanks, Robert and Sandy!
Now I am getting excited about my job, starting Tuesday! Can't wait! Will post about it later when I get hang of my schedule! :)
Well, I didn't get to post the post earlier but now I'm here and I'm going to say this "I LOVE MY JOB!!!!" I have my cubcile right in front of the window so I can get to enjoy the view from 9th floor look over the busy highway, and beautiful mountain! :)
