Mary's Blog: Ex Bro in law

I was looking at my sister's blog and she had a song dedicated to her ex hubby and it made me thought of David, my ex bro in law..

David and Sandy met at a summer camp in Virginia when they were at science camp in 1993.. David was attending TSD and Sandy was attending ENCSD.. My parents decided to remarry and Mom and Sandy had to move from NC to TN.

At TSD Homecoming Sandy, Tori and I was standing upstairs of the Gym at the window. Tori was staring at the guy who was running across the field and it was David.. I don't remember how Sandy and David got hooked up again but they started dating in Oct of 95.. By January of 96, they got married.. Of course, it was a rocky start with 8 people living in 2 bedroom house.. Sandy and David, Bucky and I along our two kids were living with our parents in their 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom house for about 3 to 4 months before Bucky and I found our own place to move into.. Sandy and David was still attending school until May when they graduated.. They graduated 18 miles apart but on the same day and an hour or two apart.. As the years goes by, we had formed a very strong bond to David and consider him a brother/son without feeling awkard.

To make the story short, David had decided that he wanted to start his new life with someone else who was his partner driving 18 wheeler truck. We were all heartbroken, Sandy took it real hard but she got over it eventually and got married 2 years later..

There are times when Mom and I sit and a funny moment that we had with David had popped up in our mind and we would talk about how funny David was and we still do miss him.. David is a funny person who cracks us up at times. I know he's cracking people up with his humor somewhere..

David, We wish you well and happiness.. Sandy is now happy with her life and married to Robert who loves her so much..

This was our trip to Dollywood without the kids and we rode on the log ride.. Here's picture of David, Sandy, Bucky and me..
